Processor and Motherboard Bundle

Hi there

Around 6 months ago I requested help and advice on buying a processor and motherboard for around £100. I ended up buying the following from ebuyer -

MSI 770-C45 AMD 770 AM3 DDR3 Support 8 channel Blu-ray Audio GB LAN ATX Motherboard

AMD Athlon II X3 435 2.9GHz Socket AM3 1.5MB L2 Cache Retail Box Processor

Hoiwever, it seems that they have failed and now I can get a replacement (great ebuyer customer service). As they are both showing out of stock, I am wondering if anyone can recommend a processor and motherboard combo for around the same price?

Thanks for your help,

should have paid out the £200 in the first place, as you get waht you pay for and your paying for it now
yeah but i didnt have £200 and I still dont have £200 to spend....I have about £120...but it seems prices havent dropped that much in 6 months...

I have 4 GB DDR3 Corsair RAM so my new motherboard needs to be compatible
you really need to give a little more detail, like do you need onboard gfx, any specific type of sound ie 7.1, giga lan, want to overclock etc etc
plenty of mobo's out there that will work but each can have their own plus and minus points

p.s. you dont need to spend the earth, ive had expensive mobo's that have died, you just buy what you can afford /need and dont listen to the 'you must spend this or that' type people. no need for overkill imho

Sorry I wasn't clear....

I already have a PCI express graphics card, mem, soundcard, power supply, etc....its just the motherboard and processor I am after...

I am not too fussed about overclocking and have around £120 to spend...

It seems that AMD X3 Athlon II 445 processor has a good "bang for buck" rating and just looking at a compatible motherboard now......
this would do fine imho, hdmi out too ;)
