I think any faults on Sony consoles you deal directly with Sony for. If it is under warranty (which it will be) then look for the Sony customer services numbers.

This is from a Sony email I have and so the above info is correct.

PlayStation Support:
020 3538 2665

Opening Hours:
10:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday
10:00 to 18:30 Saturday and Sunday

Good luck getting them to answer though I was trying them once for about half an hour and just gave up in the end.

Here, this should give you a few options? :)

https://support.us.playstation.com/app/contact_options

I'd go with the live chat personally.

Sell it on ebay as new

I thought the retailer had to exchange faulty goods in the first year... I might be wrong

Im pretty sure this is a known fault and Sony will replace for you. Contact them.

Hi, Sony do offer a great service, you will have to contact them on the number above, they will arrange for your ps4 to be collected then repaired or replaced before returning to you, you will need to show your receipt, do not send to GameStop they will just send it back to you and may charge you the postal cost.

I thought the contract of sale was with the retailer and that you coild get them to organise the repair with sony, although I woild prefer to deal direct eith sony

This happened to me. Power cycle the PS4, it's a quirk, not a permanent fault. Switch it off, remove all cables, hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, leave it for 15 minutes, then reconnect everything and switch it on.

I did the above and have not had the eject issue since May. Hopefully it works for you too.

Thanks guys. I will try the power cycle but will also contact Sony.

Wait wait. Given that ps4 is not over a year old, you should still have that warranty covered by Gamestop.
Just last week I received my replacement ps4 from amazon (no questions asked, i spoke to them, they sent me a new one and asked to return old one within 30 days).
Game and HMV had the same policy. U should grab hold of Gamestop.

You're right but not everywhere is as good as Amazon. Their C/S is brilliant.

Be careful though, if you do too many returns with Amazon, they block your account and you can't open another one in future either.

Here's a thread on it...

It may be a five year old thread, but there are more recent comments too. :)

They are supposed to, but as they control the payments most of the time then it can become difficult dealing with awkward retailers. If they were all controlled by credit cards or PayPal then they would have to abide by the law as the refunds would make them broke. :)

Yeah I read that. Worrying. I love Amazon and I'd be gutted if that happened. They should give warning though. Puts me off reporting a problem, although if it was a big problem like the PS4, Id have to do it.

Same thing happened to my PS4 last week. I took mine back to Tesco and had a brand new one in 2 days. They contacted Sony for me (tried myself but no answer after waiting half an hour).
