Hi guys,

I'm currently researching monitors/tvs that I would use for the PS4 PRO. I know I'm going to get haters from both the xbox crowd and the people who don't like console gamers, but I don't care, Sony have always made great consoles and I'm getting the PSVR so I'm sold on PS4 for the current generation. From what I can tell so far you can't get a HDR 4K(2k rely) monitors yet.

Does anyone know what the beat options are? I don't want anything over 27/29 inchs. Reason being I don't care for big screens for gaming and the quality drop off is terrible. Plus while gaming I am not far enough away to use a massive screen.I am open to a 4k monitor for now and then upgrade to a HDR screen next year when they are ment to be released.

If anyone has any useful info please let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm quite competitive and use a monitor for my xbox one gaming.
apparently through my research best screen size is 24" as you eyes are able to focus on the whole screen.
I remember when I used to game on gigantic tv's.
Anyway I use an asus with an amazing response time and no recognisable lag.
not 4k but will upgrade when the time comes

HDR is wide gamut and 10-bit colour, and 3840x2160 monitors with that have been out for several years now for the photography market (although typically Adobe RGB colour space instead of DCI P3). They usually use DisplayPort though, and IIRC the PS4 Pro only supports HDMI 2.0 so you may be correct on PS4 compatible screens.

Depending on what you mean by quality you may find that the higher resolutions help there.

A claims like that without specifying the viewing distance is meaningless. It's the apparent size of the screen that determines how much of it you can see and what a suitable resolution is.

well from what I know you need a 2.0 so I need a HDR monitor or TV. I mean I terms of the contrast. you have a direct drop-off the bigger the screen, I know in relation the HDR will naturally will help. for the distant I will sit 27 to 29 inches is the sweet spot.
