You'll need a USB drive, don't think the data is huge in terms of file sizes so a small one will do. But you will need to reinstall (the PS4 automatically does this when the disc is inside) the games (when you get your PS4 back) in order for the data to be transferred back.
My PS4 had the same issue, constantly ejecting and then beeping when in standby. Power cycling, including holding the power button with everything unplugged fixed the issue for me and many others. Have you tried this?
If you have PS+ then your game saves are backed up every night.

If not, then
There is no need to take it back just:
1.Turn the PS4 off by unplugging the main power cord.
2. Plug the cord back in and press and hold the eject button until you hear the the double beep.
3. Then press the power button to turn it on, that should fix the problem.

I recommend you place some rubber feet under the ps4, so there is a space between your desk and the ps4.

If the above succession doesn't work, which orientation do you use the console in? I'd it's horizontal, try standing or up and see if the problem recurs.

This is why it's best not to buy the first version of new consoles.
