Hey all!

Bit of advice needed ...

I have a unused PS4 slim with Fifa ( deal from here) and then also bought the PS4 VR thinking I could give them as a xmas present to the kids but now thinking it may be a bit of novelty and not really sure if it's worth the money. My 15 year old had always preferred Xbox but did mention the other day he'd buy a PS4 with his birthday money..

Has anyone got the VR and is it worth it or shall I return VR to Amazon and get a refund or shall I keep them both unopened and see if I can sell them nearer to xmas as a bundle? I know you can still get the VR's now but if they sell out towards xmas I may be able to make a little profit and buy myself something pretty!!

Don't keep the PS VR if your motive is profit.
a) You're unlikely to make a profit. Supply will only steadily increase from here out and demand may fall.
b) In this initial period where there is stock limitation to some extent, returning the system will allow someone else to buy and get pleasure from it.

As for the option of keeping and using it, well, from what you describe I don't think that you'd consider it to be worth your money. Most of the games are only short-form experiences and the novelty is likely to wear out quite quickly from what these offer. Your son sounds like he'd be perfectly happy with the PS4 console itself, so just stick with that for now rather than going overboard.

All I'm left wondering is how much money he gets for his birthday if he plans to get a PS4 with birthday money...

Why would it concern you what a 15 year old child gets for his birthday?

When else would you get your 15 year old child a PS4 ? surely it would be on 1 of 2 occasions, Birthday or Christmas?

I'm just surprised that these days a kid can get enough birthday money to buy a PS4.

PS4 with Fifa17 for £149 so not crazy money imho.

You don't know how large the family is etc as they might have 300 aunts and uncles each giving £10 each?
