Mate as far as the downloading games is concerened you can't ask those sort of questions here. Or on any public forum tbh. As for the usb cable i'm sure sum1 will be able ot help you!

I would start by updating to firmware 3.03OE-B

Just google it, and away you go!

Nah man, not Sony's 3.03, Dark_Alex's 3.03 OE-B (Open Edition).

Not nasty, helpful.

Sorry Jake, thought you were recommending the latest Sony firmware.

Just saw a link to the one you mentioned and the penny dropped...

By the sounds of it, your technical knowledge is minimal when it comes top PSP's and firmware upgrading - you would most likely 'brick' (kill) your PSP if you tried to upgrade it. Just don't do it.

If you have a mate who is technically-minded in these matters, let them help you out ;-)

But whatever you do, do not upgrade to the official Sony firmware 3.03 - there is no way to downgrade from there at the moment.

As Crazyal has said, don't dive in until you actually understand what you're doing. Spend at least an hour or so reading up on it.

The lads are offering wise words, but it 'aint rocket science!

The hardest (or most dangerous) part has already been done downgrading the PSP to 1.50.
