You used to be able to dial *#7465625# to check but I'm not sure if that works anymore.

Simplest way is to pop another sim in, if it askes you for an unlock code etc. then you can pretty much say that your phone is locked to EE.

email where you got it, chances are as it is reseller it is unlocked but they should be able to answer...
