Ah..... The beloved "iTunes".

A constant reminder of why I love the drag and drop of Android.

Having had to go through the pain of using iTunes to do the exact same thing myself for my family, I wish you luck in your journey.

Just remember.... When you have iTunes installed and double click to open it..... yes...you have double clicked..... it really does take THAT long to open.

As much as my family love their Apple items, and as much as I think they are great stand alone products, iTunes is abysmal.

But you can drag and drop videos etc onto iTunes ..?

Try the infuse app. Great for watching all different files from nas storage and copying to the ipad for offline.

download and use vlc app, it converts it into a usable format for you If that is an issue.

Yes you can. Any app that supports things like video playback in iOS (such as VLC) will enable dragging and dropping into the app (under the applications menu in iTunes). Much as the previous commenter derided iTunes, in this instance it performs the required feature perfectly well, and is no less 'drag and drop' than the requirement to install an app to move media onto an Android phone from a Mac. Windows machines don't natively support dragging files onto an iOS device; Macs don't natively support dragging files onto an Android device...yet iOS and Apple are always deemed to be in the wrong with this.

I know, my comment was towards hottoast, who inferred you couldn't.

Many thanks for all your help I have managed to get videos onto the iPad, but I won't be buying a Apple product myself I prefer the ease of use that Android gives me.
