QUESTION REGARDING "ONE STOP PHONE SHOP"

Hi. I saw the adverts about a free Sony Ericsson K500i and a free SPV C500, but I was wondering, has anyone on HotUKDeals ever bought something like this from them. You see, I am worried that they may take some money out of my account, even though they said it is totally free. Are they secure?

Regards.

They will take money out every month like a normal plan, but you claim it back at set intervals, like at month 6, 10, and 12 or something like that (you'll get the details when you buy). In the k500i thread devalia mentioned s/he picked one up about a month ago when the offer first appeared so maybe pm and ask what the experience has been like.

I'm very seriously considering getting one too especially as it now appears I could be ahead £18 on it!? (check that k500i thread for details).

So far ive had to return the phone and get replaced - i have yet to recieve postage back for that but no hassles, compelely new phone (would not accept a reapir < 28 days) -- that took about 3 days. Yet to make a claim , they give you a sheet of claim forms you attatch to your 3rd bill and recieve a check with 28 days. Ive been told that you'll have no problems as long as you do the claim in good time and document everything

claim in good time and document everything
Very good advice, considering the mixed reviews this company has been getting, such as here and here.

Thanks for the links hud :) It looks like a case of the smart and careful consumer winning and if you get slack you could get screwed over by OSPS if anything goes amiss. So DOCUMENT everything!
