Really depends on what you've been ill with, but if you're looking for an actual 'tonic', Floradix is a good one to try: http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/N=brand_floradix/#totalNumRecs=6

Ask the doctor to check your vitamins B12 and D, I was ill for a long time and had problems getting "right" afterwards when they checked mine were really low.

Okay I will try and make myself go in the new year. I just freak out waiting for results though and keep telling myself I have some thing serious! Glad that you are better now, thank you.

If you're run down, it's been suggested that sunlight and a fresh air walk is really good for you. I know it's hard this time of year, but they say if you can get some sun on your skin it'll really benefit your general feeling of well being. A brisk walk will get any sluggish systems boosted.

If you're on any other meds, I would check with a pharmacist if any tonic will interact. Holland & Barratt do have a reference guide for their products, but not sure how comprehensive it is, but at least make sure they check it for you.

Edit: Sunlight on skin is how we make vitamin D.

I couldn't agree more, in fact I walk a dog 5 miles a day. Been confined to four walls would make me worse! Roll on Spring hey! Thank you.

Thank you, have had a look it looks like just the thing I'm after. Now it's a toss up between that and 'Floradix' which some body posted earlier. Not sure which one I would benefit from most?
