Was just about to post about these myself. Hope you don't mind me posting. Was just going to ask how exactly these work?

Do you link them to your computer and then download roms on to them?

Amcol, I think the price isn't as important as getting it reliably- so try amazon, got mine in 2 days. For what you're paying v what you'll save, £5-£10 is negligible- especially if you hit customs fees in the process. The R4DS site will tell you everything you need to know, and wiki has a bunch of info too, the best advice is to get one and you'll answer all of your questions in a 5 mins play about with it- it's a hands-on thing for the learning curve.

Bane, you stick the memory card from the r4 in your pc and download roms onto it. Dead simple as long as you already use bittorrent.

The best part is you can fit loads of games on to a 1gb card. There will still be games you want to buy though, there's nothing like having the box and cart if you really love videogames. If anything, i've purchased more games since owning my R4DS!

deal extreme have lowered there price by the looks of it, back down to £17.50,

took about a week to get mine from them, didnt get hit with any custom charges either, they put it down as Led flash light with next to nothing value :whistling:

Right found a website that have stacks and stacks of roms, just need to download the most important bit i need, then start ready for when my R4 comes lol

Downloading is easy- the max file size for DS at the moment is only 128MB, many games are 32 and 64mb! This means you can download all 1400+ games in a couple of hours, or cherry pick the ones you want and get them in 20mins.

Agreed - not having to swap carts is a great benefit, especially if you share the DS with your kids and they never remember to pack the game you wanted to play! It could also be a good way of reviewing a game before you decide to buy, although I guess that wouldn't be legal.
