I fancy boosting up my PC a little bit, willing to pay upto about £60...

Looking for some good quality RAM with a good name (Kingston Crucial etc)...

Currently using PC2700, heres my specs for my PC:

# Maximum Memory Capacity: 2048MB
# Currently Installed Memory: 512MB
# Available Memory Slots: 1
# Number of Banks: 2
# Dual Channel Support: No
# CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
# CPU Family: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz Model 2, Stepping 9
# CPU Speed: 2800 MHz

Anyone know anywhere where I can get a 1GB/2GB pack that's compatible for a decent price?

At Crucial???
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/55910 You could get 2 of these for £70 in total (not including postage) if you use google checkout twice.
ahhh, isnt there anything just a little cheaper?
DDR seems to be stubbornly staying at high prices compared to DDR2. Unless you're willing to upgrade to a motherboard that accepts DDR2 I think you're stuck I'm afraid. The ones posted Tatey are probably as cheap as it gets at the moment.
is DDR2 better than DDR
Yes it is, but it would most likely require you to upgrade your entire computer e.g. your motherboard, ram, graphics card and processor. So its not really worth it unless you have around £400 to spend.
