Rare Nintendo 64 Games, keep or sell? and where to sell?

joshp Avatar

Afternoon all,

I have some Nintendo 64 games, some of which are quite worth a little. Here is a list of a few:

Super smash bros
Mario Kart
Super 64
Zelda Majoras Mask
Zelda Ocarina of Time
Pokemon Stadium 2
Pokemon Stadium

Would I be best of holding on to them and will the prices go up in time? or shall I sell them on? Also, if I were to sell, where is the best place? is eBay my best bet?

Also, to note they are not boxed with their manuals, just their cartridges.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you!

I guess, I'm just after a fair price.

To be honest, I have no idea. Conker is worth about £150 in the shape I have it in, I was thinking of selling it when it was only worth £50. Plus when I was thinking of selling it there seemed to be less for sale than at the moment, which kind of makes no sense. The market is flooded with them, but they are worth more now. Depends if you need the money to be honest.

So how long ago was that? The price went from £50 to £150 in a few months? few years? I've never looked until a few days ago.

You're not going to get that kind of money for unboxed games, and I wouldn't say they were that rare tbh. I'd keep them if you still have the N64, if only for nostalgia in a few years

you could get £50-100 for conker boxed like 2 years ago but now you can get £70-80 for the cart alone and well over £100 boxed. I think I saw just the box and Booklet sell for over £50 recently. also watch out for if they get released on digital or eshop as that can drop the price abit

What kind of money? I never said mine were worth anything like that!
I know the games I have are worth £20/£30 max without original packaging or being sealed.

You're correct about them being rare though, they can't be that rare considering there are loads on eBay however I just wanted peoples opinions on what to do.

Yes, I guess the box and manual help sales. Also with regards to 'digital', does that always reduce the price? I've already thought that it was collectors buying them, but I guess people still play them...

I'd Stick With What MIDURIX said don't sell them unless u need the money, Smash Bros is worth about £50 & I Just Sold My Extra Copy Of Majoras Mask For £30 recently so I would just hold on to them, more and more people are getting into retro gaming and looking to relive their childhood, but unless u need the money i wouldn't sell them cos the price for the past couple of years anyways only seems to be going up.

I think I may sell some of the cheaper games but keep a the 2 or 3 more expensive games. I didn't realize Smash Bros was worth that much? I thought maybe £30 max?
