Hi,

I know nothing about microphones but I do know that I need a good condenser microphone if I'm going to record vocals.

Do I need phantom power?

Any help you an give me in finding the above is appreciated. Can't find anything on hotukdeals.

Thank you

Thanks but that's not a condenser mic. It's probably ok to use for vocals but I have an SM58 already. I'd use the SM58 but I'm told condenser mics are a lot better.

Beta 58a is used by most leading vocalists, its 10x better than an SM58 which is average.

Okay.

Thanks for the tip, I would prefer a condenser microphone still to be honest. I don't think dynamic mics come close to them.

Don't get me wrong though a dynamic microphone may be ok for live performances but I'm not sure I'd want to use one for vocals in a studio.
