Ok so I bought myself a xiaomi redmi 3s prime for Christmas and upon selecting a locale I found there was no option for the UK.

Has anyone else run into this problem and/or find a solution?

I have tried to use morelocale 2 with and but I need runtime permission or something.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it matters too much. The phone should set time by network. It could be format related. Just try one close by and see.

I picked Hong Kong and just changed the time. Love my Redmi 3.

This question keeps coming up although I did ask myself a few months back. I put China when I setup but I found the stock calendar put all the Chinese holidays in so a changed to Falklands. You can change the locale at anytime in the settings so I would put... Falklands.

You are probably on a virus infested rom stealing all your data so that's the least of your worries.

Seriously though, check your software version, it's probably on a vendor rom that is full of bugs and one day could just stop booting, it will be stealing your data as well.

Wipe the phone and flash the official global rom or preferably xiaomi.eu rom.

The official ROM does not have our locale.

None of the Xiaomi phones have the UK listed - licensing issues I suspect - because the Falkland Islands are on there!!

Set it to India, as for some reason India has a few extras that arent always enabled for other countries.

What sort of extras does the India locale give you please?

I have it set as Spain and my talktalk SIM gives me the correct time.

However, at 11:30pm it displays the next day's date (so I'm assuming it gets the date from the locale setting)

Has anyone used Morelocale 2 to set a new locale?

Same on my global 3S
