Does anyone have experience of buying refurbished phones from Argos/ CurrysCPWPCWorld/ or Tesco Ebay stores? They all seem to offer 1 year warranty. Are there any differences to be aware of, or things to avoid with this? Have been waiting for s7 to drop in price but not happening and I need a phone sooner rather than later. Any good alternatives? Reluctant to source from foreign supplier as would prefer to have UK warranty to call on if need be.

Experienced with both Currys and Argos on eBay. Currys have always been as new condition, and the one time I had a problem (Galaxy S4 with a SIM problem, 7 months after purchase) they refunded me as soon as they received the return.

Argos is spotty though, I've had 4 handsets from them; 2 in good condition, 1 covered in scratches and the other dented and dirty in the seams.

Most UK eBay retailers give 1 year warranty, cameras aren't bad, but very average I'd say. You're getting a lot of bang for buck on xiaomi phones

I had a Note 3 from Currys, condition was as new, advertised unlocked at £150 and was handset battery and s pen, turned out to be locked to ee but as I'm on EE I didn't know it was locked for several months, after messaging them they offered a full refund on return or 10% so I could unlock, I took the latter, phone never missed a beat

also had a Samsung A3 2016 for £125 shortly after release, also accurate description and made a few quid selling on, service from Currys eBay has always been good in my experience
