every month i receive nuisance text messages from my housing association reminding me my rent is due, i don't have a history of rent arrears and my neighbours do not receive any text. i regard it as been harassing. they are not automated because they are different every time, the way its worded you can tell its written specific to me . am i being soft or would you guard it as irritating? i wouldn't mind i know people who are over 800 pound in arrears and they get left alone. my account is in balance every month..

i personally don't mind reminders. i lose track of when my payments go out because i plan for a surplus in advance for all my bills, but i forget when the specific dates are. when there's no surplus, I generally fidget and check obsessively even though the payments follow a set routine!
you need to have a word with her or her superiors and see what the issue is. maybe you've been flagged for something you don't realise, maybe it's been done in error
and in the meantime, use it as an opportunity to hone your passive-aggressive text responses. or call her 2 weeks before the rent is due and ask her for a reminder. call her every day at odd times nudging her for the reminder. play a game, because if the text is bothering you, a few texts, emails and calls will probably bother them

he has already spoken to the company. They stopped phone calls & now the same person sends texts instead.

blatant harassment if the employee continues after written notice as the tenant owes no money & never has done.

All day long the fault of the landlord & in which turn the employee

it does not give me an option to block the text or reply to it and no number shows up.

To be fair to the OP if the rent is paid in full and on time every month and this has always been the case, I can understand their annoyance at these texts.

As suggested give them a ring or send them an email or letter asking them to stop and or explain the reason for the texts.

It's just a reminder, reminders are useful. It takes two seconds to read and delete. Just accept it and move on, life is full of worries and this ain't one of them

maybe the clue is in the title... "REMINDER"..

Too many people in rent arrears these days it's just a reminder & totally understandable why they do it.
#11
Next month, don't pay the rent. That way, you will be a month in arrears. Then when you get the reminders, you will feel fulfilled that you do indeed need the text and those that send it will be justified. Everyone is happy.
#12
Just send them a message asking them to unsubscribe you from their text message reminders.

How does this offend you exactly? It's probably just a standard means of reminding tenants as social landlords get shafted by those less scrupulous than yourself.

Be grateful you're living in a home with subsidised rent, some folk can't get one.

Oh right...

Precisely this...

Call them up & opt out of their service.

i know my neighbours and nobody ever gets a text from her like i do. im not bothered about getting a text every month its the fact that its just me getting them. the reason why it gets to me because its like she has it in for me.

Then get the landlord to delete your mobile number & give them 1 months notice in writing else you will take the matter to court & also inform the police that Becky is harassing you.

If you cant be bothered to put it in writing that one of their staff members is harassing you then you are just going to have to put up with it.

If becky does it after that notice period then the landlord & becky are in proper trouble.

Send an email of complaint fao service manager informing of the situation.

If u say what is true that u dont have problems with payment issues and rent arrears then doing the above im sure it will stop.

Cc your local councillor into the email to.

Local councillor for receiving a text are you for real! Delete and move on. If they did not send reminders the ones who dont pay would say nobody told them they cant win! You have spent more time writing your post than it would take to block them

Yes because the service manager wont want to have to respond to a councillor should the situ not be resolved. Cc'in will most likely recieve and acknowledgement from the cllr office and advise to let them knowif the HA dont resolve it.

Did you read the op's comments where he tried to resolve it directly with staff and hasnt worked or are you just reading the last comment. Please unplug your keyboard. Thanks
