My other half did exactly the same, he fixed his with a bit of wood and tape, it worked for about 6 months until he broke it completely!!

There are 'fixes' that you can buy on ebay which replace the weak plastic top part with a metal plate, so you could try that.

Otherwise i think the only other option is buying a whole new drum kit. Out local game shop had a preowned one in for £25.00.

My other half says that it was 'Go with the flow' by Queens of the Stoneage that did it for him!!

He has had to move onto the guitar untii we get his sorted. But he still moans about it so i am really going to have to get this sorted for him too.

Your post has made me shift into gear to do it just to stop him rattling on in my ear! lol

You can buy replacement metal one. Also can get it repaired by going to the rock band support page.

thanks, reading that it looks like they are only covered for 60 days? (unless Im reading it wrong) He had it for xmas 2008.

They don't ask for proof, it is only when you do the first repair do they have a record.

Just taking a look at this, it does state that they require proof of purchase, so i don't think i will be able to do this.
Like Bitsey mine is over 90 days old....

STEP 3: Providing Proof of Purchase
Because our Limited 60-day Hardware Warranty requires that you are within the first 60 days after purchase, we will need a legible copy of your original sales receipt to determine eligibility. The sales receipt must clearly show the following information:

1. Item Description
2. Purchase Amount
3. Date of Purchase
4. Point of Purchase

For your convenience, we have three options available to send your receipt.

EDIT ** I have given it a go and filled out the form so lets see what happens. I will be really pleased if this works.

Thanks electriclinux Rep given for letting me know about the returns policy etc :)
