Are you sure it's not your line? I had sky fibre and no issues at all, or is your adsl? As that's notorious for disconnections no matter what supplier you have or router
I just assumed it'd be the router because everytime it disconnects I cannot connect to the router's local address.
This is a well known and reported issues with the SR102. Poorly made no shielding in-between the power supply and internal antenna's. Had issue with this router for over a year despite replacements and boosters.
I know computers so know it was the router and proved it by buying the mer enabled d-link router from pc world and putting the firmware on that enables the options to work on a sky line, no issues.
cutting the story short after proving it was the router we were given the new sky q broadband router. `now getting full 40mb down wireless and no blackspots in the house. ps remote play works on highest resolution as does steam link and no disconnections.
How much did you pay for the new Sky Q Hub? They gave me a price of £69 to get the new one. They said there is nothing they can do unless I pay for the new one.

We went through that whole scenario of them offering it for £69 until i mentioned at the time a new customer could have it for £20 if they signed up. ask to be put through to the broadband team as the standard help are useless. Top save yourself anymore hassle advise them:

You have full speed on ethernet and reduced speed wireless.
You have changed the wireless channel in the settings
you have tried a friends sky router and all issues disappeared.

I unfortunately had to go through all the above steps and more to prove the issue. However then they realise there is nothing else they can do so they will offer you either the chance to chance your broadband early with no exit fee or the sky router for reduced cost.

looking for a 3rd party router, don't have faith in the supplied routers anymore. Looking for something that can last over 3 years.

No probs. The sky q router is an excellent bit of kit compared to sr102.

I think it only has 2 gigabit ports but I'm the only one in the house that uses a wired connection so it shouldn't be a problem for me.

Been on the phone to them for 2 hours, they said the best they can do is £30 + £9.99 delivery. Until they put me through to cancellations and gave it me for free. Should be here within 3-5 days.
