Racism is defined along the lines of
'prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior'
'the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races'
'a product of the complex interaction in a given society of a race-based worldview with prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination'

what you've seen is a regional offer based on market forces
i think you should be banned from using the term racism until you pass a test. people who misuse the terms racism, sexism etc devalue it so that when something actually racist/sexist occurs, the general population have lost a degree of patience/sympathy

The full advert says you have to be a UK resident as the screenshot above says, however if you look at the full page it says not available to RBS customers in England or wales.

That is a completely different statement to saying not a viable to English or Welsh people. That statement would be classed as racist, what RBS conditions actually state is you need to live in Scotland to qualify for the account irrespective of nationality.

Well I come from Glasgow and England don't take our Scottish notes plus we get charged if we exchange them in to English note now you tell me that's not racist??

That's not racist. Might be stupid but not racist.

it's actually more to do with the fact in England rbs will be using the Nat west brand and in Scotland rbs so if you look at Nat west it will probably be the reverse assume Wales are just getting Nat west too.. in case by not mentioning them I am accused of anything..

I live in England (South) but changed my RBS branch to a Scottish 1 a few years ago when Santander were supposed to be taking over RBS in England & Wales. I now have the Rewards account because my branch is in Scotland.
If you want a Rewards account either change your branch to one in Scotland or change to Nat West (sister bank of RBS) who only offer it to branch accounts in England & Wales.

its not racist selling different products in different areas of the country.

I struggled to find Irn Bru when I was in Sheffield, I didn't think that were racist through.

No it's not racist, if you live in Scotland and want a Rewards account then apply via RBS, if you live in England and want the rewards account apply via NatWest. It's exactly the same product and is available to you , so how can this possibly be racist. If you want the full details of why, including why RBS and NatWest can't encourage their customers to open accounts with the other, and the Williams and Glyn involvement, then have a google at the requirements set out in the need for the companies to be divested by the end of 2017.
