As topic. I'm mainly going to be going for an hour run three nights a week, occasionally on the treadmill. Not planning on any marathons just yet ;-)

Even with light jogging or running, you can't afford to buy cheap trainers.

I would call down to your local JJB store and check to see if they have any old season Asics runners. You might get a pair of old stock 2080 for around 40 quid.

FAiling that JJB are selling Reebok premiers for £40 on their site et the mo.
For what you're doing, these are great trainers. I have a pair myself and they have a good sturdy midsole on them.
