Running Trainers

Anyone know where i could pick up a pair of cheap running trainers? They're just for wearing to the gym as my current ones are getting a bit tatty.

As cheap as possible would be preferable but I could be persuaded to pay a bit more for quality and comfort eg Nike Air or something similar.

Any reccommendations as to a good make to get, or a good deal?

Are you actually planning on doing any running in them? if so id get a decent pair, new balance have a good price range and can be fairly cheap. ive just got some nike structure triax 2's cost £70 but worth the money.
I have a pair of asics trainers and they are one of the best trainers out there for running and exercise.

If you have a sports soccer or sports direct stores close to you then they are very cheap from there.
I agree, I used to wear the likes of reebok classics down the gym - then I bought some Asics and they have lasted over 18 months and I'm down the gym for 4 hours a week.
if you are running in the gym then you need to buy a good pair! as smithyp has said asics are one of the best but nike and adidas do make some good running shoes well. if you just need some basic trainers then are usually very cheap
Picked up a pair of Asics GT2120's from sportsdirect for about £35 and are very good as do a bit of running in them each week more recently a half marathon in March and found them very comftable and offered good support.
I normally wear asics, as do most of the running club I am in. I recentley bought a pair of reebok and love them. I run 15 - 30 miles most weeks. This isn't a bad shop here
I've got a pair of assic gels they're really good for running, picked em up a while back at jjb sports (online) at half price, might be worth checking them out
Sportshoes have a very good range of running shoes and also some good offers. They also have a guide to help work out the kind of trainer you need.

You can also call into the (massive) shop if you're anywhere near Bratfud.
