your best bet is to just warranty it via the UPS service, they're usually pretty quick and easy....

Oh dear.... Samsung repair. Good luck, you're gunna need lots of it.
Having experienced both their (unhelpful) repair centres and their (equally unhelpful) collect/repair service with the exact same phone, i know what you're about to experience...

theyve been good for me... did take a bit of chasing up, but all in all wasn't too bad

If their repair centres are still as bad as 9 months ago - i'd ring up and make sure they actually have a screen before you set off anywhere. They don't let you book in the phone if they don't have the parts available, nor will they tell you when the parts are due to arrive. (absolutely bizzare i know)
Oh, and i tried 5 different repair centres from leeds, manchester, warrington and sheffield.

I noticed some people on XDA recommend an app called "Screen Burn-In Tool" on play store to fix stuck/dead pixels etc and some specifically mentioned it fixing the pink line issue.

I had a look and it's a simple flickering screen that you run for a while. Worth a shot I'd have thought.

Glad to hear your experience was better than mine.
Samsung customer service took my phone, had it for 2 months (reluctant to give me an expected date of when it would be repaired), then told me it had been repaired and would be sent to me within a week. Diddnt arrive of course, rang them up and couldnt explain. So made a formal complaint and they finally agreed to send me a new phone.

It was too late though as i had got fed up of being without a phone and being fobbed off by Samsung and already bought an iPhone 7 plus. Put me off them for good now. They could learn a thing or 2 from Apple's customer service!

I had an abysmal experience with Sony a few months back.... sent phone in for a WiFi and bluetooth issue, they sent the phone back saying I'd bent it... When I got the phone you could see dents where they tried prying the phone open in a bunch of places like tards, and ended up bending it themselves, voiding my warranty..... *shudder*

I had the pink line on my s6 edge a few months ago. Took it to the local Vodafone shop and they sent it off for repair, then I picked it up a week later with a brand new screen.

thanks for the replys. I forgot to mentioned that if i choose pick up/ drop off service I will be without my phone for 7-10 days. That is a long time without a phone

Worst company I dealt with in regards to repair.

To offer an alternative view took mine in with this problem, no issues at all and screen was replaced within an hour

I had this issue but it was intermittent, had to send my phone to them twice. First time they said nothing was wrong with it and sent it back, the second time they were going to send it back again, but I took pictures and sent the pictures to them after contacting them to find out the progress, apparently they gave it the okay and were just about to send it back again unrepaired.

Just to update. samsung replaced screen within 2 hour. Had to do 100miles round trip to nearest samsung centre to get it done. I couldn't be without phone for over a week so choose to drive there instead. thank everyone
