I have decided on which tele I want to go with my 360 and its the new Samsung teles in white.

I would ideally like the 26" but any good deals on a 20" upto a 32" would also be appreciated! It must have HDMI not DVI.

THanks

Peter

Hi Pet3r

Check this out:

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/1060588/Samsung_32_LE32R71WX_HD_Ready_Widescreen_LCD_TV/Product.html

Only £599 delivered, or you could go for the smaller, 23" model here:

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/1060587/Samsung_23_LE23R71WX_HD_Ready_LCD_TV/Product.html

For £460. I think the 32" one is better value however.

Hope it helps.

CURRYS are doing the 23" for £435

doin't know if there are any codes about

Hi,
Sorry I forgot to add, I'm 16 and only earn £32 a week (Saturday job) and my absolute limit is £450, I should get a 26" one for that?

ah a subject i know about because i'm about to order one.

Samsung only do white in 23" and 32". neither have digital tuners, which sucks in (nearly) 2007
Lowest price for 32 is Play at 600.
Lowest price for 23 is Currys with codes at 395.
However, Currys wont actually get you one before xmas/maybe at all - i've order twice recently, they just dont have any. next best price afaik is BeyondTV at 433 included.. this I will go with if its still in stock and no one can better.. imho its not a good deal because the 26" black is about 455 at Currys. but it is white :) which is much more appropriate for the kitchen, this is the thing.

edit: i agree with thekanester that the 32 is better value than the 23 because apart from being much bigger its better screen tech and sound. unfortunately, its too big and expensive for me too.

Actually, Smiff

Samsung also do a nice white one in 19". Check it out here:

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/2168816/Samsung_19_LE19R71WX_XEU_LCD_TV/Product.html

It's £279.99 @ play.com, but they have the resolution specs as 1366x768, which is wrong. Amazon have the correct specs as 1440x900.

Importantly, it has both DVI and VGA, so will be sweet for next-gen gaming. Having seen it in the flesh, it's quite nice, but doesn't perform as well on scart/rca input as some of the larger Samsungs.

BUT, if your budget is £450, this would leave you some change!

yeah sorry i dismissed the 19" because he's asking 20-32
also
- 19 is not HD ready (although the res is actually higher as you say!)
- 19 is very small for a widescreen TV..

although the price certainly makes the 23 (which i'll almost certainly get) look even worse value :/

Currys used to be doing the 19" for £238 using codes and costco had it for 270 with a 3 year warranty but i decided against it because of the HD bit.

I saw the 32 inch white Samsung in Costco lunchtime £575 inc VAT, and it comes up with a three year warranty, worth a couple of hundred.
#11
sorry, costco thats instore not costco.com?

Update!!

I might be able to work for 2 weeks before christmas, if so then I could gather upto £500 altogether.
Although at this price it would have to be 32" or a Panasonic 26" with good warrenty!

Thanks

Peter

you won't get a 32" under £500 (someone please proove me wrong :D)

I think that I will after Xmas, if using codes from currys you can get them for £560ish and from costco £575, I think I will get one for ~£500 in the sales
