Thinking about buying this TV from John Lewis going through Quidco and using the voucher on http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/50559/save-20-on-any-purchase-when-you-sp .
Any thoughts? Can anyone get it cheaper? Is it a good TV?

This is also a TV that I am considering... So if anyone knows somewhere cheaper than as above that'd be great :D

Does anyone here have that exact TV? Comments on it? :)

I do indeed have that exact TV - bought it from John Lewis about 1 month ago for £599 - bit complicated how I got that price but essentially they owed me a wee favour (at the time the telly was £799 from them).

I would say @ £630 including a 5 yr warranty that its a great buy. You wil find it cheaper but not with a 3 year warranty never mind a 5 year one.

I dont regret buying it at all.

Review of the telly here http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=7289

- if theres anything specific you want to know just ask.

Might pick one up, 5 year warranty is what makes this tempting...
But then again can get 42" for the same price with a 1 year warranty...
Choices choices :P

They seem to have a store front, I would say maybe try to price match at John Lewis.

Have not purchased from AV Experience before but its cheaper than John Lewis but only comes with a 3 year warranty. Might be a good backup plan if you want to save a bit of money at the expense of the warranty.

The exact same tv, the 37" R88 (R88 = exclusive to Dixons/Currys iirc) I found on Dixons website for £572, Apply the £25 off voucher to take it down to £547. Maybe you can get some more off via Quidco.

Cracking tv, I bought one myself a few months ago.

if you insist on buying it through john lewis for whatever reason, 649 + 5 year warranty was the price given last night at JL liverpool (in store price). so, if your local JL store doesnt do 649 (e.g. JL Trafford), you might be able to ask them to price match JL liverpool (a bit bizzare to ask a JL branch to price match a second JL branch, doesnt it?)

please kindly note that if you buy it through JL online, the price is 699, because JL liverpool was price matching a local store (sorry but didnt ask for the name of the store they were price matching). the good thing about buying online is that you could go via quidco and apply a e-code (FESTIVE30), which may still be working.

however, if you dont care about the warranty, one of the cheapest around is from Dixons, as some kind folks at HUKD have mentioned, the model is LE37R88, an exclusive model number for retailers under the DSG Group (formerly knownly as DSGi Group) but the very same TV as the LE37R87BDX.

the price at Dixons is 538.64 after applying ecode: GIMME5 (apologise if it no longer works).

please remember to go via quidco in order to get a even better price.

hope this helps.

I got this TV for my son's birthday a couple of weeks ago. I managed to get it for a smidge over £500 including a three year warranty from Empire Direct using Quidco, Voucher Codes and the ED loyalty card. Unfortunately, the 10% code has expired now.

The TV looks pretty good, but I'd personally go for the 37" Panasonic Plasma for £599 from Laskys.

just realised the 5% from egg is a code so probably wont be in addition to the gimme5 code - but good if that has expired.
