Samsung LE40M86BD 40" LCD TV or similar

I'm on the look out for a new TV. Requirements are 1080p (I will also be using it with my Macmini), 40", either good sound or I will buy external speakers.

The last TV I bought was brilliant and has lasted me for years (28" pixel plus philips bought at least 4 years ago, and picture still great), but I need something with digital/HDMI input for my samsung upscaling DVD player and MacMini. Macmini looks a bit fuzzy on the philips.

Do these big LCD TVs look ok with a normal freeview signal through scart? I have a Thomson DVR/Freeview box that is absolutely brilliant, but not HD compatible. And thanks to this site for alerting me of the brilliant deal.

Anyone own this TV? The best deal so far I've seen is £1,161.00 inc VAT from dixons, but I could also get quidco of course. But I would need to buy a stand for all my bits + TV. Hopefully there will be an even better deal at the airport as I'm often flying. Part of me thinks I should wait a few months as this is a new model and will be priced high initially.

If you can wait i would say that is the best idea as these seem to be dropping in price quickly.

I believe this code 50APR07 will give you £50 off at dixons.
Thanks, the more I think about it that's what I should do.
