Hi All,

I am just wondering if anyone could offer some advise on the problems I have been having lately with Samsung.

I purchased a brand new sim-free Samsung s6 edge+ mobile phone from amazon within the last 12 months, the device last month discovered a fault and was shipped to Samsung for repair. Once the device was repaired the device was sent back to me.

The discovered fault (wouldn't share files between devices) was fixed by Samsung. they advised verbally that the device failed a flash test. However , the repaired phone arrived back to me locked to Vodafone & loaded with Vodafone apps, the device would no longer accept my three contracted sim card. - the device has never had a Vodafone sim card installed.

I got back in touch with Samsung, who have advised they cannot do anything further and I should contact Vodafone for a sim unlock code, I've just now asked Samsung this is their fault and they should fix it.

is there any kind of legalisation I can do to take this further as I now feel Samsung have let me down, the phone is now not fit for the purpose I purchased it for.

thanks, Michael.

You sure they sent you the same phone back?

Is the IMEI number the same?
They might have swapped it with a recon unit if they found another fault that was expensive to fix.

Should be the same device, the device has the same serial number both physically on the back of the device and also within the settings as when I sent it away, cheers.

just checked - exactly the same IMEI number within the settings as when I sent it away, the same IMEI number can also be found on the original packaging, cheers.

Terrible service from Samsung can't you contact Amazon to see if they will assist in any way.

go back into the samsung store & demand the same unlock settings that you took in. They have given you back a phone that is unusable by you. When I took my phone to be repaired by Samsung they put my sim back into my phone & checked set up when I got it back.

Print a copy of your purchase receipt and take it with you if it says sim free on it.
