Best i can find is Dixons. £309 but with 5% voucher (happy5) brings it down to £294.45. However, considering the RRP of the Samsung NC10 is supposed to be £299 its not fantastic!

Can anyone beat this price?

Black one preferably.

If i remember correctly, Staples.co.uk have it for just under £260, which is a great price.

Ordering one myself over next few days

Staples are £255 + VAT

are they not ??

Alot of retailers have put up their price on this netbook
as everyone wants one.

Might mean there will be some other similar spec netbooks out there
for much better deals as they may not seen as the "must have" notebook
which the Samsung seems to have become.

Anyway after Xmas you can put your money on all of them being discounted
probably heavily - if only we could all put up with a few little presents
for xmas then buy the big ticket prezzie in the sales we would all save a fortune.

Yeah, bobby your right there. Biggest plus why i'm opting for the Samsung (as a present from my mum to my dad) is the battery life is excellent on the nc10 over all other netbooks i've read about.

Will take a look at staples, but £255 + VAT may still work out a tad cheaper and could pick up instead of getting it online.

Thanks both. rep added.

Just ordered a black one from Dixons today, using the happy5 code. £309.99 less 5% = £294.49 with free delivery. Paid with egg card that gives an instant 5% cashback at Dixons. This should take it down to £279.76.

Cancelled my Egg Card last month! Doh! Before i knew about the cashback offers. Can't sign up for another one for a period either. Damn.

Will probably end up going through dixons, getting what discounts i can. It's on bennettsonline.co.uk for £291, then you save 10% off your first order when signing up to their mailing list. Shame it's out of stock. Would bring it down to around £269.

I got mine from Staples last week for £293.60 but someone on the trustedreviews website said they got a free leather Journal, 4gb usb key and a free hamper - don't know how? Anybody know how to get that? I think I've got 14 days to return it and if I can get the free stuff I will do!

Bought my NC10 today - Staples. Black only available @ £293. In addition I got for free a leather-bound Journal and a 4gig USB flash drive on a leather key ring. In addition we will receive a free Christmas Hamper (to be delivered to the store in a couple of weeks for collection) worth £25.

Did you purchase it at this price? It seems to be the cheapest around and no need to wait for delivery.

I'm still undecided on which colour to go for!!

No, wasn't looking to buy, it's actually for my mum for my dad's christmas present. But i'm her personal shopper when it comes to technology! But will be going back this week to buy. Price was including VAT though, and they had 5 in stock in my local store (teesside). No offers with 4GB sticks or hampers though, said this had ended. But worth a go i'd say.

Only had black (showing anyway!) out in my store. Didn't ask about other colours, as my mum wants black. Personally, i like all the colours, but my choice would be out of white or black.

shame, I was all ready to take mine back and get another the freebies - did you ask about the hamper?

So, did you buy it??? I think the NC10 is great, I had the eee 701 and the 901 - this is by far the best so far. Going to sell my 901 now.....

Not bought yet, was just having a look for my mum. Will go down in the next few days and get it though :) Looks great.

And the assistant didn't actually mention the hamper no, so may still be available!

Thought I would bring this thread back to life!
Well it's now the January sales, so where are they, this net book was cheaper before Christmas cheapest on line I can find (if in stock) is around £302 In most stores Dixons, PC world etc it's £322, I phoned up a couple of stores and they would offer no discounts.

Posts your finds here Good Luck!!!!

pc world, dixons, currys etc have it for £259 in store
pixmania have it cheaper at the mo (using code the no vat code advertised on their site), but with delivery its about £2 less than pcworld etc.

I asked in currys and they wouldnt even throw in a cheap neoprene case for free, let alone give money off the netbook.

Argos have them for £229 instore.
And.. wait for it.. a web exclusive offer of £239 (£10 more!!) hah!
(originally i misread that and didnt realise it was cheaper instore)

will go up to pcworld to see what they can do at lunchtime.

I believe the cheapest is to go to Currys, ask them to do a price match on the Argos price. Currys do a price match plus 10% of the difference. (prob about a pound less!)
