Depends what you use your phone for really. I've tried both platforms and Android is by far the best. Anything Lollipop and newer is super smooth on most of the devices out there. Androids are like mini computers. I'm the kind of person who likes to organise my files into their own folders, and I like to know the exact location of my files. It's pretty hard to arrange things like that on iOS. Are you limited to Samsung or are you willing to try other brands?

I have Samsung s7. Its so boring and prefer a bigger screen. Tempted to get a Samsung note but don't know much about them
#8
Samsung everything x

Oneplus 3

what are the cameras like on ios
#11
s7 edge, s7 basically
#12
To add to the comments above the main issue I had with IOS was that to upload files (music etc. ) you would need to put them into iTunes then from there into your iPhone. This really annoyed me. If you have everything in iTunes then it is pretty straight forward.
#13
Both good phones
#14
One manufacturer rips off Android users, the other rips off iOS users.

Both make good phones which they sell for ridiculously inflated prices. Take your pick, they're both the same.
#15
can't share anything easily, stupid iTunes for everything, closed system, less customization. now I get it. why my gf left me. I gave her an iPhone (_;) wait for some days and buy a Note 7 and be happy.

if you are cotemplatin getting a s7 or iphone 7 these are my reasons why you should get an s7 reason #1 s7 has a way better display then iphone 7 #2 the front of the iphone just looks to white like a toy vs the luxury feel and look glass back and glass front of the s7 provides you. Also android is way more customisable and a lot more apps out there which are free. A s7 also has a sd slot. Last but not least the final reason is because a s7 or edge new will set you back 400-450 for s7 470-540 edge vs 699 for a iphone 7.

Just so you're not misleading anyone, the iPhone 7 is from £599 (not that I'm advocating buying one!!)

Also design is subjective. I would consider an iPhone to have an equally premium feel to an S7. The white fronted iPhone is their trademark look as it replicates the style of the original iPod, but it does come in black which I think looks much better.

Plus one benefit you've listed (Glass back) is also a negative as it makes it more fragile, i.e you may smash the front & back if you drop it.

If you must spend £400+ get a HTC 10 and stand out from the crowd :D

the fact is, there is no 'right' answer. it completely depends on your preferences and use case. if you're going to load up with 300GB of music, a phone with micro SD would be better, therefore android.

if you want a simple, highly optimised OS which you know all your apps will work and perform beautifully, get an iPhone.

theres a million potential scenarios

thanks guys. I do take a lot of pictures on my mobile. so Samsung probably best the with the sd card. hubby wants to buy me an iphone
#21
I've had an iPhone for years ever since iPhone 3G, find the quality of build is brilliant, pictures are really good on them, I also like that if you have any problems you can book in to an apple shop and get it looked at or swapped, okay it doesn't have a memory card slot there are some devices out there to add a memory card, also second hand value is good if you want to sell them, I can recommend an iPhone,

Why does it always have to be Samsung when it comes to android. Get a nexus or a oneplus. All perfectly good phones

Agreed . Wait for the next generation Nexus which is due next month(?). Also good reports oneplus 3.

Don't have to spend a fortune to get a half decent phone. I bought this for my daughter (she smashed Samsung Galaxy and needs a cheap one for three months til her renewal ). She really rates it for only £80. Dual sim, 2gb ram...

because that make sense.... what if the question was.... my husband is beating me every night. would you say stick with what you know ;)

this year go with iphone 100%

great design, good screen (ignore geeks that masturbate while looking at any spec sheet), stereo speakers, great performance.

now buy s7 and try to sell it after 12 month you will be lucky to get 30-40% of the original price. which cannot be said about apple.
look long term not at current price tags etc..

perhaps some people would like to be able to buy decent accessories rather than cheap covers and a screen protector? also to get half of the features of iphone or samsung you need dozens of apps which defies to purpouse

I'd agree with the comment about iPhones holding their value much better than any other phone. Yes, it may cost you al little more to start with, but you'll get that back when you come to upgrade two years down the line.

That's assuming you look after it obviously.

Easily the worst comment I've seen on this site.

But to retort, if you like something, why change?

why because analogy is harsh?
just because you have it doesnt mean its the best. saying stick with what you know is just plain dumb. If humanity stick with what they knew millennia a go imagine what would the world be like today.

The OP has stated 'I don't want to part from Samsung'.

OP clearly likes Samsung/Android.

OP seemingly has no experience of iPhone.

Most advice is to stick with Android.

Your likeness to a wife being beaten up is quite simply, ludicrous.
