I Just got this Samsung LE32R87BDX/LE32R88BDX from Dixons - Amazing tv

http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0177896975.1182432609@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccchaddlffelhdjcflgceggdhhmdfhm.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=739566&category_oid=-21226

Use code JUNE10G to get £10 off the price.

I managed to get dixons to price match this though, so paid £442

http://www.beyondtelevision.co.uk/thisProduct.asp?ID=878

Cheapest I could find this TV for.

how did you get them to match this price?

If you look on the Dixons home page, on the right they have a price match promise advert. Click into that which will give you the number to call.

I had to provide them with the website I had seen it cheaper (give them the full url) Also be armed with the fact the LE32R87BDX/LE32R88BDX model numbers are the same TV, its just the 88BDX is a Dixon's/Comet own model number for that TV.

They took a look at the website while I was on the phone and agreed to match the price.

Hi i am also interested in this deal, the only question i have is that on the other website there is £25 delivery charge, where are Dixons is free, does that make a difference?

It should make a difference, as dixons price match policy will include the delivery. I think I got away with it as you have to sign up to see the delivery price.

Guess you have to get lucky with the person on the phone.

Yeah thats what i thought, i will give it a go anyway!! Do you really like the tv? because ive wanted one for ages and this price is brilliant.

also 5% cashback with dixons if you've got an egg card

The TV is quality - have my PVR, DVD, Laptop & 360 connected. The picture quality is amazing and definitely future proof with the number of HDMI ports.

Only thing I'm not so keen on is; I can not seem to increase the size of the PIP screen.

I'm also interested in a similar spec tv but I am worried about dixons aftersales, have they improved? I noticed they charge £169 for a 3 warranty, is that worth it?

I got the 32" LCD Samsung LE.etc when they first came out and have had no problems with it, have the usual plus xbox 360 being used on it and all easy to set up. I got mine from a catalogue using a first order discount of 20% so worked out cheaper than the shops at the time. So maybe still worth checking out the voucher page and looking at whats on offer, plus free delivery.

£169 for an extended warranty seems excessive to me - took my chances :) Not heard of many of these going wrong.

you can get warranty yourself with domestic and general, pay monthly too!

Just managed to get the LE32R88BDX for £441 by getting Dixon to price match it against Beyond television, the first women said that they were different models and wouldnt price match, but then i rang back and spoke to a guy who said yes thats no problem and they had a lot of interest in these tv's and there supervisor had okay'd it to price match at £441!! bargain i thought as i really like the look of this tv

Hope this helps someone:thumbsup:

When I got mine for this price, I just told them I had read on Samsung's website that the LE32R88BDX model number is the same TV as the LE32R88BDX - its just a model number used by Dixons & Curry's.

They did not even query it - just said fine.

yeah thats what the second guy said!! the women i spoke to was a bit of a know it all!! she was quite arsey!! but the guy was great and said they had all been okay'd by there supervisor to ok it!

its typical of dixons currys etc to have their own model numbers so they dont normally have anything to price match on

LE32R87BDX will john lewis match it?
