I currently have a Garmin Street Pilot i3, though it's started to eat through batteries very rapidly, hence I'm having to use the mains lead.
Plus i have a megane with a heat-reflecting windscreen, so have another lead for the aerial.
Hence the advice required is how to get rid of all these leads?
Obvious answer is to get a new sat nav, but are there any that can receive a decent signal, without the need for an aerial, and also has a decent battery consumption?
If i need an aerial, are the connections generic, or is it a case of buy another Garmin, or another make plus a different aerial?
I'm not interested in the multi-function i.e mp3 features, just the cheapest way to have a sat nav without all the leads.
Thanks in advance for your advice
