Just bought a MyGuide 3100 from Comet this weekend. Gets some great reviews and compared to the Navman F20 my fiancee has, it has some extra features and is quicker at re-routing you.
Paid £89.99 for Collect at Store and contrary to what their website says, it does come with a car mount (+ mains and car charger).
This is £9 cheaper than E-Buyer plus no 5 day wait for the Free Delivery!

If I was looking for a cheap GPS i'd go for the new TomTom ONE V3. Bottom of the range GPS from the almost always realiable TomTom.

Cheapest I could find was amazon at £132.00, but i'ts maybe worth doing a search on here for "tomtom one".

i would get a gps reiceved for his phone for about £20 and download tomtom of the net. Will be cheaper and easier thoguh your phone has to be upto spec

I'm looking for best value on a sat nav that gets traffic updates and can recommend routes to avoid james etc.
Anyone tried Garmin 300T?

I'm trying to steer clear of James too.
I think if we stay out the Dog and Duck we'll be OK.

i have just bought 2 tomtom go 300s and managed to talk them into free postage and speed camera updates. my 300 is really good - had no problems really - just had to buy an external aerial to keep the signal in the zafira but its ok in other other cars. id recommend it

Handtec have refurbished TomTom GO 500s with free maps of europe for £136.23 inc shipping.

I'm not 100% sure but i think with the addition of the Europe maps it becomes a TomTom GO 700.

My dad has the 300T. Absolutely superb. Precise, clear, reliable, compact, accurate. What more do you want?
