Be careful of customs, might be best to put down a lower value if it's used. I think Royal Mail Air Sure is a tracked service and gets there 3-5 days. This is what I used when sending items to Canada.

Also, if it has a removable battery you will need to tell the post office so they can place a battery label on the outside of the packaging.

Well.. it's a new item return, with non-removable battery. So, to be honest I have no clue how to deal with it.

I used royal mail to send a phone back to France. It took about two weeks though as it got held up in customs. It got there though.

Try one of the courier comparison sites eg: parcel monkey

Are you returning the phone to EGC ?

if you are returning the item then you wont be held for customs. Just return it either using royal mail signed for or royal mail air sure whichever the cheapest. If you are returning it as it doesnt meet description etc then surely they would pay for the return? if not, make sure you insure the package to the value in case it gets lost.

If it is a return item, shouldn't the senders be sorting this out for you, if not, ask them to provide you with a return invoice (for customs purposes) as it is not really an import/export but a return for repair/replacement?

Yeah I saw that, but isn't it's only for warranty?

Yeah, I assumed yours would be a warranty return. Has EGC agreed to a "change of mind" refund?

Well, they agreed to that but they tell me to send it to Hong Kong address.. that's why I wonder how to do it best and "quite" cheap... instead of paying £60 or more...

Any other ideas? Anyone?

They'll just claim it didn't arrive anyway so might as well save your money.
