I somehow left my Shure headphones extension cord on a flight and need a replacement. I've called Shure (hoping they'd send one for free) and they directed me to some website selling them for an amazing amount.

Do I need special Shure cables really? I noticed they were thick and so assuming they're made of good quality and so would want something similar. Also want the cable to be grey/black to match the rest.

Anyone have any suggestions of what to do or where I can buy something good from?

why not get a cheap set from play.com so you have a spare set of headphones and the cable you require!

What was the amazing amount?

Reason I ask is I have a pair of hardly used Shure SE210's in Black with the extension cable, I've tried all of the ear bud things & can't get on with them, might consider selling if the price is right. You'd then have the extension cable you require & a spare set of SE210's you could use your own ear buds with.

Hi, I'd be interested in buying just the extension cord if you put it up for offer. Let us know where your thoughts are with selling it. Thanks.

I'm not willing to sell the extension cord on it's own as if I did put it on here it would be less attractive without it.

Well I saw it for £20+ inc delivery. Considering I got the whole set for £25 when it was on offer on play.com (and some even got it for £18) I found that a bit too much. After all, it's just an extension cable which you can pick up for £5 or less.

Well when you put it that way paying nearly the same amount for a Shure extension cable is not good!

I've got the Black SE210's which are £70 on play.com so either you got a bargain price or you haven't got the SE210's.

As you say, you'd be better off just getting a normal extension cable.

It was the Shure SE110's that were at £17.49 last year. They have a standard 3.5mm jack so any 3.5mm extension cord will do the job.

Yep the SE110.
