I've got 2 sim only 30 day £10 with virgin media for about 2 years now. I've rang them up to see what they can offer as I know they do 4g now. I was offered £9 deal from website without any additional discount so I took my chance and gave them notice and ask for codes. I'm hoping they will call back with better offer but if they don't I will probably go for that £9 offer, but question is, can I call them again in 2-3 weeks and agree to original offer to save myself hassle with changing numbers etc? Or it's too late?

As far as I understand if you don't give your PAC codes to another provider they will expire after 30 days and you will remain on Virginmobile.

Depends on how they work. I know that some networks offers are time limited by the system they use. The offer will have an expiry date and then a new set go live and then old one's are locked out from being applied to acc's.

Your best bet is to call them back now and ask how long you have to take the offer up. . .

it is not too late as until you use your PAC code you stay with them on your current contract. If it is a website deal that is available to everyone else then you just ask for that, on the assumption that it is still available on their website at that time.

This is correct, I gave bt mobile notice and they gave me my PAC code (I wasn't planning on transferring my number but thought I'd get it just in case) and as I didn't transfer, the contract carried on running. I wouldn't of minded but they didn't tell me at all it would carry on.


OP what deal are virgin actually offering?

Asking for a PAC code isn't cancellation, so doesn't count as giving notice. You can cancel *and* ask for your PAC, but that really would lead to a cancellation (and you'd lose your number once the cancellation went through.

That's not uncommon. If you're a 'low value' customer you'll tend to get rather a lot less scope for offers. What are you expecting? Not saying you're not a valued customer but if you had been paying them £48 a month for a year they'd be a lot more inclined to try and keep you.
