Check the time and date are set correctly, I had this in the past and it was all because of wrong time and date, strange I know but it caused all sorts of problems. I would receive a text read it and then it would disappear never to be seen again!

ring your network

Could be (as above) time and time problem. Also could that the message center number is still set to the other networks sims. You'd need to find Virgins massage center number and where to edit it in the phones settings to get it working again. . .

As DD says. Check the system is set to get the "Network Time".
Phone Virgin and they will refresh the line.
Ask them to send you a new SIM. You may have damaged it slightly or have an intermittent fault.

Damaged sim can cause all sorts of problems. Do all the obvious stuff like restart phone. Clean sim card. Clear text app cache, that's settings, installed apps. Text app. Clear. Restart phone

More likely down to using of these nasty Chinese imports that don't go through anywhere near as much testing as those 'rip off' Samsungs :P

In all seriousness it sounds more like a software issue than a SIM issue to me.

turned out to be a date and time issue, all fixed thank you so much
