You also need a dual LMB that goes on the dish and another cable from the dish to the box.

The only people i know of that have got a free box out of them is from threatening to cancel and getting put through to the retentions department. Worth a try, will be trying it later this month myself

I bought my Sky+ box from Comet. It was £59 instead of at least £99 Sky was quoting for the same box. I was upgrading to multiroom so I also got free installation.

Not sure if these offers are still on though.

as above the best option appears to be to ask to cancel. they will put you through to retentions who will try to persuade you to stay. if you tell them that you're cancelling because you and your OH are arguing over what to watch then they'll ask if you've considered Sky+ tell them you have but you're concerned with the cost. they'll probably offer you a recon box for free but if you push you may get a new one instead

i did the old cancel trick and got sky plus free. Id consider letting the cancellation ride if you had no joy,
and live without for a few weeks. THey will be back i can assure you of that.

Dont mention you want sky plus is my tip just say you cant really afford it, dont get time to watch much etc.

I had free sky sports for a year and then free sky plus box so next time i aim to get free HD although thats some time away at the mo,....

I always look it up on the "say no to 0870" website I think there are quite a few for different sky places.
