I'd do it in January next year

As a new customer you could get 67% off, as an existing it depends on the retentions advisor you speak to.

Sky is offering between 60 and 75% off but we waited till our cooling off period before we asked. Most likely you won't be offered anything until contract runs out.

Dont forget to give notice on 20th december anyway, otherwise theyll start charging you full rate for any days after 20th jan if you havnt negotiated a new deal and want to finish.

As Rich said put your notice in 30/31 days before the contract ends, within seconds you will be offered probably 50% on my sky or the app, then web chat and tell them your mate has been offered ...check what people are getting on the 75% off thread in misc and if they won't offer it try again, you do not have to wait till the end of the cancellation period they will reduc it before then m

Within a month of cancelling mine they offered me 50% off.About a month after that offered 60% off.
Never did get the 75% offer but went down a different route for watching stuff on tv.so wasn't too bothered.

you need to cancel and follow through and actually leave. They will always then give you a come back to sky offer of at least 50% discount on any package with no contract.
you have to actually leave to get the no contract bit though, worth doing though.

Your cooling period (a month) which you must activate by calling SKY latest 19th December. Also, most time its at the sales rep discretion.
