yes I saw the Sky sports offer on some bus stops. NTL are doing 12 mths free sportsso think this was sky's answer.

I am 99.9% sure I saw this offer and assumed I would go to Skys site the nextday and get it. I've tried to retrace my steps but nothing.

I wonder if someone has jumped the gun with the offer and its been pulled. I notice the 1mth offer ends at the end of sept... maybe its an Oct (Chrimbo) offer??!!

I belive they are discontinuing some of the boxes so they might be shifting them

Well, having decided to give it a shot I phoned Sky (on the 0800 number ) and started rambling about how my box is outdated (it really is), and how it affects the experience of Sky (sloooow).

Bear in mind she didn't begin to talk about incentives till I said I would cancel for sure. First offer was a new Sky box for free to replace my old one, response was that i'm not so fussed on Interactive (speed issue) so she went away and sought advice from manager (so she said). She offered me a Sky+ box for 65 quid, no multiroom therefore no change to monthly payment(s).

Woop!

plead your case, sales team are allowed a max of 50% of their daily sales calls to have discounts or codes added,

best opption if you are over the 12 month contract is to say you want to cancel, say you have lost your job and will really have to give it up - your poor kids will hate you forever bla-dee-bla-dee-bla (be really nice to the operators as they plead your cast to the "relevant" department for you.

the "relevant" department is the ones with offers not the advisers that initially answer the phone,

best of luck

I reckon they did put the 6 mth offer I thought I saw on the web and pulled it for some reason.

AND I suppose if u sign up thru QuidCo, rpoints etc u should save a few more cash.

I have got 4 tickets left to get SKY(free) or SKY+(£89) with 3months free,

this is a staff only offer for their friends and family, it ends tomorrow and you will have to get the vouchers posted from me, however i can send you the codes and details to phone in and you can post the voucher off as soon as you get it,

VOUCHERS ARE FREE

If you go online now, it works out at £49 for Sky+ and the package you have just mentioned and the first 3 months half price, I toyed with the idea of Sky+ and decided to go with the normal box and then they drop the price of Sky+ a day later, aagghh!! :x They say I can't upgrade at that price.

phone up and cancel your install, then go on line and book again, you have not signed your contract and you have a right to cancel.

I can't live without my SKY+,

you know the world has gone mad when your 5 year old asks you to rewind the telly to laugh at a programe that has a mobile phone(brick) from 10 years ago in it.

I am off work sick at moment but will find out as much as i can about any deals or issues for anyone that has or wants sky

I have contacts in the sales dept, I have been with sky since it started and work in the technical department,

Hi, thanks for the advice, but they had installed the box only a couple of hours earlier when I saw the latest deal and when I called to set up my direct debit and asked for an upgrade they refused to change to Sky+ saying it was to late as I was in receipt of the other Skybox, nevermind :(

dont u have a cooling off / cust satisfaction period with contract?

I had sky+ and this had a 30 day thing on it whereby I could change my mind...not sure if it was a special thing or on all Sky contracts.

check the paperwork.
