Hi all

Long story short have done the yearly faff of cancelling then returning to sky to get 50%off which I'm happy with.

I am wanting to get sky q as we regularly have clashes on the sky+ box and out box is on its last legs.

Have been offered £60 for the 2tb box then £12pm extra. I'm not having a second box so don't know about the £12. Can anyone find anything cheaper or is this the best price.

Tia

nope-expensive. Im on £30 a month for the 1tb (sports, movies and boxsets). But could have had the 2tb and 1 additional box for £42 a month. Install was £15 compared to £60 if i had the 2tb and additional box.

Prices rising in March 2017!!

£30-£35 a month "all in" should be achievable

Afaik the £35 complete package is a new customer offer. I have everything apart from sports for £28 pm the q box would cost £12 extra pm as apparently I would need a multi room subscription even though I am only using one box. So only difference between our offers is I don't need sports.

Cheapest I can get it is £40pm (£28 box sets and movies plus £12 for the q) the biggest issue is if I can get a 2tb for less than £60.

I managed to get them to everything for £32.75 for 18 months, then asked about the uhd channels for football and was told you HAVE To have multiscreen to have the uhd channels costing as extra £12 a month... We have 1 TV in our house, they wouldn't budge....... So bought a zgamma box instead... Fcuk sky...

Yes, to get the 2Tb main box (and access to Sky 4K UHD content) you have to have the second box package. My one is still in it's box unused, as I only have one TV! I got both boxes for 'free' (although they always belong to Sky) but had to pay the £49 installation charge.

As an existing sky HD customer I pay £25 per month for every channel. Just called to upgrade to Sky Q. £60 for 2TB box, £40 for the mini box and £12 per month for multiroom subscription. If you don't take multiroom the cost of the single 2TB box goes up to £199. At those prices I decided to just go for multiroom.

Best part of the deal is that I get to keep my current contract price. Total monthly price is £37 for Sky Q with every channel and £100 upfront for both boxes.

No worries. At least they are only charging £60 for the box rather than making me take a second box which I wouldn't use and charging £100

Yeah I was on £25 everything from the sky25 promotion last year .. They offering nowhere near that now it's time to renew .
#13
Also please note the previous post, the Sky Q box is loaned, not purchased. Begs the question what the £60 is for
#14
Do what I did and just upgrade. They actually extended my £25 per month deal until September 2018. Saves the hassle of cancelling too...

No, they just run promotions every now again. Cancel then be patient and wait until they beg you to come back

So you guaranteed this price until sept 18? .. An 18month deal

I'm on the £25 pm deal after leaving this time last year to go to Talk Talk. Will I get the same deal now?

I was on the SKY25 + Multi room for the last year. Contacted them at renewal and they offered me SkyQ 2tb Sports/Movies etc for £37 plus £99 installation. I declined and cancelled and then got the usual call after call asking me to stay with promises that they could make it cheaper for me until they looked at my account and they couldn't believe what I had been offered. Luckily the original Sky rep had put it in my notes (which apparently they shouldn't do) so they had to honour it therefore I would be very surprised if you can get cheaper at this point.
waiting list for SKYQ at the moment is nearly 3 weeks.

Sports/Movies/Boxsets, UHD, 2 Boxes £37/month plus £99 installation.
You have to have been on the Sky25 deal. I have spoken to friends and colleagues during the year who were astonished I was getting everything for £25 (it had actually crept up to nearly £28 with the September price rises) so I was expecting to have to pay prob £60/month.

Whilst it may be officially a "new customer offer". Play the game properly by cancelling, then take out new offer under different details (name alone doesn't normally work, but can do sometimes). I was without sky for 3 days only. Even not doing this, i was offered 60% off and £100 credit to remain-but no new box which i needed.

Well yes. I was offered the same deal ie £37/Month (all channels) and continue to use my existing equipment however I quite fancied getting SKY Q as my current boxes are 3 years old, I'm marginally interested in UHD and like the fact I can use my ipad as an extra screen effectively. Getting two new boxes for £99 was the main reason. I could of course have dropped SKY altogether but I actually quite like it and both my children are at Uni and use SKY GO all the time

Remember, Sky will be increasing their prices soon, this should allow you to be released from contract if you contact them within 30 days of receiving the price increase email/letter.

Yes I have requested them to fit a hybrid and they have added it to the notes. No hardship if they don't as I can always swap the lnb after if needed.
