I got sky q with box sets + cinema and multiroom, unlimited broadband for £52. They initially credited me £100 odd for multiroom aswell but the this was down to an error with contract, rest is pretty much 60% off for the year.

Wow, that's one heck of a deal. That's for 2 Sky Q boxes? How did you manage that? Fed up with virgin and seriously tempted by sky Q but cost is prohibitive!

Does that 50% off code still work? May try it tomorrow!

All Sky channels (but not sports) unlimited Fiber Broadband and line rental. Sky Q 2TB box, and 3 sky Q miniboxes for £32 month.

Sky Q boxsets - no sports or movies. Fibre max, line rental and unlimited calls £ 26.31. The sky Q is very good for recording and on demand( sort of). I have more episodes of blaze ,paw patrol then have been made. It records and downloads repeats when children press record . I'd assume it's quite good for more.

£30 a month (for 12 months). Sports, movies and box sets. 1tb Sky Q box.
#13
Ok, so there's much more movement for sky :)

I pay as some above £35 a month for 2tb + 1 mini with Complete Bundle. Would definitely not pay anymore, its certainly not worth it. If come contract renewal they don't extend the deal for another year, as per op, they can sing all the way to my house and collect their borrowed equipment.

I've got the same deal - box sets, movies & sports for £35. This was through a friend that works there.

I got sky+HD box now. can I buy sky q box from eBay and use?
#17
Sky Q boxes are "loaned" by Sky so any from eBay possibly won't work maybe?

Says in small print if you don't give back they will charge you £100 for the silver box, and had a quick scan on ebay and most are nearer the £200 mark, so profit for seller. Im guessing sky will still activate it a new card if you brought one, but don't take word for it, best to ask.

Thanks, what sort of broadband speeds are you getting with this price? I have 150MB Vivid with virgin and am really used to that sort of speed. Wouldn't want to drop to 15MB or something!

Sorry, thats just for tv. No sky fibre in my area, and even if there was it can't compete with virgin.

Thanks, that's the only thing holding me back right now. Was checking earlier and noticed that the full package, including 2TB Sky Q and Mini box, multiroom, sky cinema, box sets but without broadband, is coming in at 68/month and 60 installation fee. There's a special offer right now with 75 cash on a visa card as incentive. Now I'm tempted with this, and sticking with vivid from Virgin for the broadband, if I can leverage the 50% discount code mentioned earlier. Anyone know how to use this code, or if it is still valid? I could accept 34/month for all of the above, if doable.

OP, how did you get on with your negotiations? Manage to get a better price?

Sky have a price rise in March, you'll probably get better offers then, the rentention team will be sick of ceases and give out bargains for their keep scores.

no one should pay full price for sky, make sure you cancel and get an offer. Then work with them to get Q at a better price. Been getting offers for last 14 years, must have paid full price for 6 months in that time and for the last 5 years or so its been easier than ever to get a discount. Had two 75% offs, 60% and a 50% off in recent years with various account credit and new boxes. Last change over in October got 60% plus £100 credit, 2 weeks later they changed to 75% off so cancelled and took that. However looking at my bills since then discount is actually much higher.

Make sure you follow the steps in the misc thread.
