SKy TV contract renewal

Hi,

My Sky TV contract is about to finish in two weeks time. I got 50% deal which was posted on HUKD a year ago. My online account was showing 50% offer ending so I called sky last night to get information about my bill which according to them will go up to full price because no such offer is currently available.

I could not talk to cancellation department to negotiate which i will do today but can some suggest me any good deal for renewal or any other suggestions to get the cheapest deal from sky?

Thanks

They will offer half price for 6 months.

just tell them you are going to Virgin and like roadrunner1 says, they will give you either 3 months free or reduced/half price for a period of 6-9 months

Or see what virgin can offer you anyway (dont do it online) talk to them, they offer far better deals this way

Just because Virgin is not available doesn't mean you cant use that excuse with them. If you back down you end up being a captive customer and they will always charge you full price.
You could alternatively say you are going over to Freesat :-)

They offered me 6 months 50% on channels but full price HD. Finally told them to cancel my subscription. May be, i will try it again to keep HD and + features to watch discovery etc because i was not watching movies and sports alot. Thinking to upgrade my lovefilm account because i probably watched more films on bluray thn on Sky movies.
