Hi,

Please post info about how to get SKY+ or SKY HD for the best deals. Is it better to go the quidco route and earn 150GBP cash back or is there a better route. I have looked on the website and SKY+ for new customers 99GBP for the box and 30GBP set up a total of 129.99GBP. Quidco is 150GBP so a total profit of 20GBP. Does any1 one know of a better route??

Some sky+ customers were given vouchers that expire on 14th March. The voucher enabled them to get a friend to sign up for sky, the friend gets a free sky+ box and only pays £30 installation fee (on a week day) the other person gets £50 Marks and Spencers voucher.
One of my friends has already used one of my vouchers, I have one left now, he was aware of the cashback on quidco but said that he would rather have a free sky+ box than risk quidco not tracking properly.

Yes i was sent the vouchers too. They give a free sky+ box or a HD box for £99. I have mine still if you are still looking for one

Question: Will sky be coming out with a Sky Blueray box now that the war is over?

Yep KP I realise the difference, I just wondered if the technology for blueray was different to HD and if that would prompt a change in equipment. Sorry if it's a thicko question from me! Doh.

Sorry Oxter - didn't mean to sound abusive
BluRay relates to the lazer inside a PS3 or Bluray player - as Sky is over the air digital broadcast they wouldn't need to.
Not to say that they won't try and cash in on the maket at sometime - but it would shoot them in the foot as there HD movie service would take a bashing.

.

Oh don't apologise. No offence taken. You should hear what my beloved wife says to me. Now that's definitely abuse. And I've learned something today. Just wait till I show off my new found knowledge on some unsuspecting offspring. "Didn't you about the laser? Oh dear."

Anyone can refer you for the free sky+ box and installation (and get the £50 of vouchers) - it was a general code in the march sky mag.

Hi All

I currently have the standard sky tv with broadband & phone package.

I would like to upgrade to Sky + but the box from sky is £99 plus £60 installation fee.

Does anyone know how I can get Sky + cheaper?

Thank you

I don't think you can use the voucher if you are already a sky customer, it's for new customers only I think

i would be very wary of both sky and quidco

i have bought quite a few items using quidco (about 6)the most expensive one being car insurance last year with LLoyd tsb £125 in never tracked at this moment in time i have 54p just tracked from november last year.that is the only one that has ever tracked

my son refered a friend to sky and thought he would get sky plus for introducing a new costomer no such luck sky never kept to their part of the deal

so just beware, hope you get what you want

Never had a problem myself - use Firefox when using Quidco and it has always tracked.

I have a question...if i signed up for sky+ would i still be able to use the recording capabilities on freesat once the year is up?

guys, really desperate to get sky/skyHD, have a few questions:

1.Need special heights as in a flat, can this offer still be used?
2.How do you go about this, do you just call the normal sky number, and what do i need to quote?
3.Is the code a generic one, or customer specific?

cheers?

The codes have been issued to some customers - not everyone has them. To use one, you need to call $ky on a specific number and quote "Share" and give them the code number. You will then receive a free $ky+ box and installation is free also. Obviously this is a much better deal than you would otherwise get. As the OP suggests, you could ignore this and go via quidco for cashback - and pay the normal costs. But the risk there is being out of pocket if it isnt tracked (and with $ky there is a high percentage chance this will happen!)

:thumbsup:Hi, I am a late starter at this, but wanted to move from Virgin to Sky for broadband and I guess tv too as they are doing this £16 a month deal.
I thought I could get £150 cash back till the end of March, but when I access the cashback sites, I cant go any further and I think I have left it too late. I have just been given my MAC code from Virgin, so am ready to go.
Any ideas whats the cheapest way to go about getting Sky? I have read that if they are not offering £150, then I should be able to get £100 cashback.(although I cant even find this info, so it might not be true??) Am I flogging a dead horse? Not sure what to do, please help, kind people!!

Thanks xxx
