Hello again everyone....god lots of posts go up before xmas dont they!
I am looking for a digital camera, my partner got me a Sony DSC-S600 but i feel it is a little fat and the screen is too small, i would like a camera that is slim enough not to bulg in my pocket and having a nice big screen, possibly a slim case...something that would fit in my pocket.
I used to have a Sony cybershot a few years ago and i found that there was a big delay between the actual click and the photo being taken as well as it not always taking the picture for a couple of clicks...now i am hoping that this is a "setting" (dont really know the word) but somthing that can be measured so that i know that the new purchase will be fine...is there a name for how quickly you can shoot the pic?
So i am looking to spend under 200 ideally, closer to £100 would be better...just want a good picture quality, decent size screen and as mentioned baove, quite slim. dont need too much functionality as i wont be messing with the pictures, just burning them to a cd then taking them to max spielman to get them printed.
thanks everyone
Danny =)

I will be the shutter speed that counts most towards taking quick photos. It has a shutter speed range of 1/1,500th to 15 seconds. I have no idea whether this is good or not. Someone else will have to answer that.

I've got one of these, quite happy with it:

3" screen takes up most of the back of the unit, very nice for viewing. It's also very pocketable cos the contours are totally smooth - all the buttons are recessed, and the zoom lens is internal.

I had a Canon Ixus V. It was a lovely looking camera, but a little heavy compared to the competition.

I dropped it from pocket height onto gravel and it never worked again! Canon offered to fix it for the cost of a new one and since then I decided that I'd have a change.

I've now had 3 Casio Exilims, upgrading each time. Very nice cameras, much lighter than the Canon. Fast shutter reaction speed, awesome screens on the back and extremely slim to boot. Think Jodie Kidd.

They come in several specs and colours, including a nice ice blue. They are also well within your budget of 200 quid. However, nearer the 100 mark you could get this for £127 from Cameras4u......

Don't forget 2% Quidco Cashback too!

Shop.com do them, on behalf of cameras2u, at the same price too but with 6% Quidco!?

I bought a Sony DSC T9 for £190 off Amazon. I bought it specifically for low lag time. Taking photos of my kids I need to get it quick before they move. This is an ultra compact camera, great for the pocket, nice LCD screen on the back.

here is the shutter lag rating paert of the camera.co.uk website.

dsc t9 review. There is also a new T10 and T30.

try here for £164..a market trader on amazon has it for £138 plus postage...but is a new trader with no rep...so it's a case of whether you are covered by amazon if anything goes wrong...worth checking.

I bought mine via e**y from a great seller and got a free case, tripod, AND spare battery. pm me if you'd like to know more. I paid about £178 inc P+p.
