Ive just been paid for my first 3 weeks work £726 (lost £32 on NI and tax so)

So i want a ps3 --- best price please ---im gunna leave the hd tele for the moment until prices drop as i want full hd and plus some hd teles dont support 60hz or ntsc playback so i cant play american ps3 games etc etc

So i shall stick with my uber widescreen

One of the funniest posts in this forum ever, but I'll warn you now that the PS3 is a bit crap in standard def, you don't really see the full picture (literally, in the PSN Store, half the screen gets cut off). ;)

honestly i'd stick with your 360 and just get a new tele (£400) and some HD leads...

as a guide i got my American PS3 off ebay, was £380 with 3 games, 2 official pads, HDMI, plug convertor and 2 blu-ray movies

My HK one was £280 just for the 60GB console and no games etc.

I agree with jonbinns. Without an HD picture, there really is no compelling reason to purchase a PS3 right now.

There's no games out there on PS3 that cannot be bettered on 360, and without hidef you lose alot of the experience.

I have both PS3 and 360 and I'm not biased at all. It's just the way it is. Come Autumn time, when there are more games out for it (e.g. MGS4 etc) you may find the price has dropped on the PS3 as well and then it would be worthwhile.

With £726, you could even spring for a cheap Hidef TV. I got one of these:

For £340 delivered. It is really quite good for the money. Although, I believe you could get something even cheaper than this at this size. Bluray movies just look amazing through the PS3 on this set.

I understand that gadget-lust is very strong. Especially when you have money burning a hole. But get the hidef TV first and then the PS3. Your 360 will also benefit from it as well.

Just my opinion. Enjoy your holiday and your hard-earned cash!

But that would mean that you earn around £32k. Why would you post that on a forum?
