Somewhere to stay Easter weekend Conway

Need your help please.
Been asked down to in-laws for the easter weekend and don't really want to turn up and be there all day without a drink so would be easier to stay over somewhere.
Trouble is don't really know Colwyn Bay so need a bit of help. There don't seem to be any Travel Lodges or Travel Inns so any help would be gratefully accepted.
There are two adults and two children aged 13 and 7 and would love something cheap and chearful with or without breakfast as long as it is clean and we can have a shower and wash. Staying in the area of postcode LL29 so want to be close if poss.
Thanks for your help..

Llandudno junction there is a hotel, Cant remember whether its a travelodge. Its not far from colwyn bay at all.
I've stayed at the Edelweiss Hotel a few times. Very reasonable rates, decent rooms, restaurant and bar, adjacent to Eirias Park. Telephone (0)1492 532314.
While you're there try to get to the Mountain Zoo; it's wonderful and the children should love it.
Thankyou all very much for your replies.
Thought I'd add my recommendations!

There's a travel lodge at Black cat, just before Llandudno Junction on the A55. There's also a new one just before Craig-y-Don on the way into Llandudno from Colwyn Bay (was there last night actually, just been refurbished and it's very nice!). Failing that there's a load of hotels from Colwyn bay, to Rhos, to Llandudno, I'm sure you'll find something!
Hi Nick I can't find the travel lodges you mention on their site. Can you actually pinpoint the name they come under please. Woyuld prefer there as you know what you are getting.
