Which Sony camera did you have that broke?

So we have some form of comparison.

It was a cyber shot 5.0 - smart zoom DSC-P10 ;-)

WELL thats what it says on the camera :p

Its such a ******-i take my camera everywhere, day trips, nights out-and lasat night in cardiff something truly shocking happened inwhich case i immediately accidentally dropped it :-( jamming the lens bit - totally upsetting;-)

The Sony DSC-P200 will look and feel like your old camera but with 7.1mp :-D

This is what Which said as it featured as one of their best buys

Overall, this 7.1Mp camera is a strong contender and performs well. Picture quality could be a little better but this would be a great Best Buy for taking basic snap shots.

It has an optical viewfinder as well as a reasonably good monitor.

This Sony lacks the manual options of some other cameras but it is easy to use. Shutter delay is short so you shouldn't struggle to keep action shots in the frame and the flash works well. The rechargeable battery provides excellent battery life and the inclusion of USB 2.0 makes it quick to download pictures to your computer.

It takes 1.5 seconds to power up which is reasonable and the time delay is the same between taking pictures. If you want to take a number of back-to-back photos the burst mode will take pictures continuously for as long as you keep the button depressed.

Pros: Excellent battery life. Burst mode. USB 2.0 connectivity.

Cons: No manual features.

Another option

Sony DSC W50

Which review reads

The aggressive sounding and yet easy to use Cyber-Shot is a nicely designed camera which is easy to use and boasts excellent battery life.

Picture quality is average so it's not up with the best of the cameras in the small class but it still performs pretty well.

Unfortunately, the viewfinder is rather inaccurate so you need to use the LCD display to precisely frame your shots, this isn’t too bad though because the camera lasts well on fully charged batteries.

The shutter delay is amongst the lowest in this price bracket so you have a good chance of capturing ‘the moment’.

You can count on the built-in flash in the dark but don’t expect to be able to fiddle with any aperture or shutter priority settings. Jittery owners won’t be helped by image stabilization and there’s no option to focus manually.

Pros: Shutter delay, battery life, flash.

Cons: Low quality movie clips, viewfinder, lack of options.

Thanks both-REALLY appreciate it!

Will my memory card be able to slot inside this tiny thing? ;-)

The T10 takes the Memory stick duo which is smaller than the standard memory stick.
