Forget the e-reader its over hyped its black and white so if the ebook contain pictures they be two toned. I have a Pda and A Pda Phone you can buy ebooks online and even get free ebooks to and plus the pdas are i color and can read many different file types, can view ebooks in colour, cut and paste parts of the ebook to word and so on!.

Thanks for the advice, but to be honest I have an Iphone and have tried using the reader on there but would like a bigger screen and it doesnt have the anti-glare feature which the Sony does so I get headache after a few hours. Thanks for the tip though xxxx

I bought my eReader from Waterstones, it was £199 at the time. I am loving it although I am finding that the ebooks I want are not always available as quickly in ebook format as I would like. I use Fictionwise to buy most of my ebooks as to be honest Waterstones is a bit pants.

I have not found the lack of colour to be a problem with any book so far, I have coped for many years with my paperbacks being in black and white! The newest Sony eReader does have a lot more support for all the fancy stuff including a touchscreen but I wont be upgrading mine as I am perfectly happy with it.

Sorry that doesn't really answer your question, I hope you find a good deal.
