I am after a Sony Ericsson K800i on O2 PAYG. I have seen the one at Marshall Ward in the deals section but would prefer one without the Vodaphone branding on the case. Any deals...

Depending how technically minded you are, considered using my debranding instructions and buying a new case from Ebay or anything?

Even after paying for the thing to be unlocked it works out far cheaper than buying an 02 PAYG....there again its the while time and money argument.....

Personally I prefer to save the cash and figure out customising my phone.....others dont. I cant see the 02 branded phone for less that £99....if you havent already opened a Marshall Ward account you can get the phone for £36. Even if you paid a phone shop to do the debranding and unlocking for you it could work out far far cheaper.

Mine as of tomorrow is going to be unlocked, I have debranded it, and put on a custom menu system which looks fantastic. I like the brown fascias you can get and will be putting it in one of those. Then its going to be on Virgin Pay as you go.

Marshall Ward have an O2 version too but it's gone up to £95 now (£75 using code ZQ351 if you're a new customer OR £83.50 using code ZQ303 if you're an existing customer)

Just sell the Vodafone k800i case as a brand new one and buy a brand-free one off ebay.

Is the Marshall Ward phone unlocked?

alexiltchev if you look on Marshall ward page and click on "more info" it says it 02.So looks like it is locked to that network. I bought the same mobile ,but it was Vodafone. The guy in the market unlocked it for me but i have read on the web if its on any other network its harder or impossible to do .Mind you that was a few months ago

Can anyone advise on Marshall Ward deals?
I ordered the SEK800i from MW, as a new customer, on 4/1/08 as shown on hukdeals post - using £20 discount code.
The emailed order value inc delivery is for £39 yet they have charged my card £62.50 - full price plus £3.50 postage. Has anyone been able to buy this using the discount code or is ?
Any advice welcome - I'm new to this!

You will be refunded your discount, you should have asked this question in the relevant thread. :)
