Sony Ericsson W580i Mobile Phone (Urban Grey) - Vodafone or Unlocked

Daughters mobile phone was broken at school a couple of days ago and she has her heart set on a Sony Ericsson as a replacement as detailed in title. We are all on Vodafone so this would be best value for money network and would also like to stay PAYG and retain old number.

Looking for best deal around that anyone may have seen or possibly for anyone who has one in good condition to sell following upgrade or similar. Christmas money waiting and burning a hole in her pocket at the moment!!

Any help appreciated - thanks in advance.

Depends on budget but I like the SE W880i. I know it's anm older phone but Orange are selling it brand new for £48! You could then either get it unlocked or use a turbo sim (Im using one in mine cos I'm also on Voda). Also see you have to buy £10 top up but could use that for things like surfing or whatever??

Thanks for the info melmorc - will have a look.

Girls at work have warned me off the W580i so have to try and convince her to change her mind.

Yes the number buttons down the middle can tend to crack so I have heard. I think there was also the SE W890 at littlewoodsdirect.com for £99. Again not on Voda but poss a turbo sim could suffice? Here's the link for that one:
